Join hands with Girls’ Brigade Singapore and Southwest CDC to bring a smile to 3,000 fellow Singaporeans.
Fulfil a wish – ranging from simple essential items to the little things our friends would not otherwise have the delight of having.
It helps when everyone is getting used to extended time alone, or being at home with everyone else. In the spirit of this year’s project, the fun things matter too.
Your contribution will go a long way in making their day a little better!
Take the lead as an exemplary giver and make a two-fold impact in the lives of young Girls as a role model, and as a beacon of hope to the vulnerable.
The Girls’ Brigade Friend in Deed project is an evolution of our Girls’ Brigade Friendship Day – an annual community carnival which started in 2011 as an organisation-wide community service project to connect GB Girls, Officers and the public to serve the lonely, elderly, needy and those with special learning needs, through befriending and good work.
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the new project will bring about a greater reach that is unconfined to the capacity of a physical setting – serving twice the number of beneficiaries from its previous undertaking. GBFD has gradually made its move from our Headquarters, into the Heartlands of Singapore and now into the homes of the vulnerable amongst us.
What was once a carnival event has evolved into a month-long wish fulfilment campaign, which allows GB Girls, volunteers, community partners and members of the public to fill the June holidays with meaningful deeds.
Over the years, our members have served close to 14,000 beneficiaries from various Volunteer Welfare Organisation islandwide, with over 1,500 attending annually.
