The Programme of The Girls' Brigade is concerned with the SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL, EDUCATIONAL and SOCIAL development of members. It is based on:

"Jesus advanced in wisdom (educationally) and stature (physically) and in favour with God (spiritually) and man (socially)." - Luke 2:52

Educational

  • Widening interests
  • Cultivating meaningful pursuits
  • Improving knowledge and skills

Physical

  • Developing physical skills
  • Participating in games and physical activities
  • Learning to care for themselves

Spiritual

  • Learning and understand Christ's way of life
  • Seeking, serving and following the Lord Jesus Christ

Social

  • Understanding oneself in relation to others
  • Learning and being service to Home, Church, Community, Country and World

 

Each age group or section of the company has a specific badgework programme. The focus of each programme is to help girls to SEEK, SERVE AND FOLLOW CHRIST.

There are 4 independent programmes in The Girls' Brigade Singapore.

1.       Junior STAR Programme (for girls between 8 to 10 years old)

2.       Intermediate Programme (for girls between 11 to 12 years old)

3.       Senior Programme (for girls between 13 to 14 years old)

4.       Pioneer Programme (for girls between 15 to 18 years old)

Welcome

The Girls’ Brigade Singapore (GBS) is an
international uniformed youth organisation for girls,
recognised by Ministry of Education of Singapore
as a Co-Curricular Activity in the schools.

GBS is an associate member of the National Council of Social Service
and was registered as a Charity under the Charities Act, 1982 since 23 April 1985.
GBS is registered as an Institution of Public Character (IPC) under the Ministry of Education.
